Madeira Rum Festival

From 11 to 16 April, the fifth edition of the Madeira Rum Festival will be held at the Central Promenade of Avenida Arriaga. Organised by IVBAM, IP – RAM, the Madeira Rum Festival is a unique opportunity to taste and learn more about Madeira Agricultural Rum, in a series of activities and moments that vary between master classes, tastings, conversations with producers, pairings and even tastings of chocolates made with Rum.

Allegoric Parade

On Sunday afternoon, the streets of the centre of Funchal are once again filled with music, colour and soft scents with the sumptuous parade of floats that harmoniously combine multiple floral species with creative decorations.
The Allegorical Parade of Flowers is one of the highlights of this event, which has been held since 1979. This parade stands out for the magnificence and sumptuousness of its floats, decorated with magnificent flowers, and for the beautiful costumes worn by the hundreds of participants, mostly children, who parade to the sound of lively musical themes and perform simple or elaborate choreographies.
