The airline Jet2 has announced that it will be operating a new route to Madeira from Glasgow airport starting next summer.
This will be the fourth route operated by Jet2 to Madeira, after Manchester, Leeds and East Midlands. Flights will operate weekly, on Mondays, starting on the 26th of May 2014.
The new flight from Glasgow will add a further 8,694 seats to routes from the United Kingdom, which is already the second-largest place of origin of tourists for Madeira Islands.
