The Quinta do Lorde Marina is a re-fuel and rest stop for yachts sailing from Europe to the Caribbean.

Blue Flag
Since 2007 we have flown the Blue Flag of the FEE in recognition of our work to further a model of sustainable development based on the protection of the environment, the execution of good environmental practices and the promotion of Actions of Environmental Education and Information among our work staff and users.
We also encourage the promotion of scientific studies on the marine biodiversity of the area and the use of renewable energy sources in the operation of the marina. For this, we are associated with the Department of Biology of the University of Madeira. The Quinta do Lorde Marina is an example of successful maintenance of environmental quality.
The quality of the water in the marina is easy to see and can be confirmed by a simple visit to the site.
How to arrive
In your approach to Ponta de São Lourenço, watch for submerged rocks and leave a ½ -mile safety distance to the Ponta de São Lourenço lighthouse. After passing this zone, sail at 270º towards the port side beacon of the marina, leaving a safety distance of 100 metres.
Alternatively, in approaching the marina (from any direction), you should set the automatic pilot for position 32º 44′.425 N and 16º 42′.965 W (500 metres west of the port side beacon).
From this point, guide your vessel to the entrance of the marina and proceed to the waiting dock.
The entrance to the marina faces SW. There are no underwater obstacles and the average depth is 12 metres, making the manoeuvres for entry easy and safe. Upon approaching the marina, all vessels should make contact on VHF 16/9, to request help in entry and docking manoeuvres.
