Funchal Marathon 2024
The Funchal Marathon is one of the largest athletics events in the city, attracting several hundred athletes, some of them world references in the sport. The competition is divided into three distances: Marathon (42.195 m), Half Marathon (21.097,50 m), and Mini Marathon (8.830 m), and has participants from over 51 countries. Without a doubt, an alternative way to live a local experience and get to know our capital better.
The Funchal Half Marathon is a sporting event of an international nature which takes place annually in the city of Funchal and that brings together athletes from many countries, in a trend more pronounced in leisure and recreation not forgetting of course the competitive part.

The previous editions of the Funchal Half Marathon was a success and the Madeira Athletics Association, advances now with preparations for the 3rd edition that will be held on 2 March 2014.
The course is almost entirely flat, in closed circuit, with an exceptional landscape that is excellent for long distance participants.
